Interactive Digital Art, THE NEWCOMER

Eun-Kyoung Annette Cho, Jinha Kang

Interactive digital installation with motion-sensor technology

Co-created with multimedia artist Jinha Kang, the interactive digital work allowed audiences to walk through a digital recreation of New York City’s Koreatown using motion-sensor technology that captured their silhouettes. As they moved through the digital street, foods reflecting Korea’s unique cultural hybridity were revealed.

At the In:formation Festival at Lincoln Center, audiences engaged with the installation after the short film concluded in Koreatown, creating the sensation of walking inside the film itself.
